Grooming Doesn’t End After Disclosure

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

There currently is a lack of understanding as to what grooming is, how it is used to potentially harm a child, and how it affects others. This presentation will broaden the perspective of the participants, allowing them to explore their own biases and beliefs. Activities will be used to give participants a more hands-on experience. The focus of this presentation is directed toward prevention of child sexual abuse.

a. To be able to define grooming individually and systemically;

b. To feel empowered to intervene when a situation arises and/or makes one feel uncomfortable;

c. To broaden the perspective of how one identifies the cycle of abuse.
