Case Study: St. Louis County Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)

This session will conduct an in-depth case overview, covering the MDT process from start to finish, for a child sexual abuse case of a 3 year old victim. Learn and discuss in this interactive panel by an established MDT and their members. Additionally, this session will provide experiences on the use of MDTs for ongoing case management, case coordination, termination and closing cases and family engagement for more complicated cases.

Conference Session Objectives:

  • Dialogue with a panel of established MDT members on how to use your MDTs for ongoing case management, case coordination, termination and closing cases
  • Identify methods of corroboration and family engagement for your MDT/CAC partnerships
  • Describe how an MDT can improve practice and outcomes for younger child victims and other complex cases through the post-review of a child sexual abuse case of a 3 year old
